Bowers Museum Education in the Classroom
In collaboration with the Bowers Museum Education Department, School Outreach Docents provide one hour classroom presentations at Orange County schools.
The program seeks to enhance students’ understanding of classroom curriculum through hands-on activities and exposure to museum artifacts and source materials that spark their imaginations and provide connections to historical events, eras, and world cultures related to Bowers Museum permanent collections.
To learn more about the presentations available, or to request a presentation for your school, please fill out the form on the Bowers Museum website.
All programs are subject to the availability of Bowers School Outreach Docents.
Requirements
School Outreach visits are free, but require the participating school to send at least 1 class (minimum 20 students) to the Bowers Museum for a School Tour or Culture 360 program during the same school year.
Partial Admission and Bus Scholarships are available for all Title I schools. For more information on our scholarships, please click here.
